Pay 1k, Get Wood

A Must-Have for a true Gundam Fan…

Priced at ¥99,750 (US$1069), the statue is over a foot tall and is being sold by legendary robot company Bullmark. The figure is designed by Plex, an arm of Bandai that designs robot toys.

I still say that “Other Gundam Merchandise” would make a better investment, but to each their own!

Dear New, Old, Legend Members,
Greetings from PAS -
Hello! My name is Samuel Liu and the current Treasurer of the Polytechnic Anime Society (PAS). As some of the older/previous/past members may know, I will be the your contact to PAS. I am the one who writes and sends newsletters/weekly emails to everyone about Poly events, new shows, anime updates, etc. I try to make the emails as interesting as possible.
Just a little bit about email format:
  • Subjects will always start with “【PAS】- “
  • If there is a main topic it would show up as “【PAS】【YAR RIGHT HERE!】-”
  • News and information will be after the dash,”-”
  • Body of email will usually be split into sections and in order of importance. I sometimes put an “LOL” section at the end.
  • Important messages will be bold Red
  • Extremely important messages will be Like This
**First General Meeting** -
PAS will hold its first General Meeting Monday September 21 2009 in RH215 During Club Hour (I believe it is from 12~1:30). This is open to all old and new members. If you want to bring a friend you can. Anyone and everyone is invited. We will be discussing about:
  • Fall 2009 PAS Events (Tea Lounge, Drinking Contest, Special Event Showings [Halloween, Valentines] etc.)
  • Spring 2010 PAS Events (SpringFest2010, etc.)
  • Anime Showings Schedule (Always every week, Suggestions, etc.)
  • Tables Schedule (Sell stuff by Elevators, volunteers, etc.)
  • Apparel (What kind would you like, price if any, etc.)
  • Office Location (In this email but will mention again)
  • Volunteers/Scouting new eBoard (Got what it takes to be LIKE A BOSS?)
  • And other things I might have forgotten………
Websites -
PAS does have two websites. Our main is http://new.pasweb.info/ I try to update it as much as possible but I find it easier to just mass email. Need people to do stuff on it. Like reviwers. Started the reviews section but never really had time to continue.
We also have a SpringFest website http://www.springfestny.com SpringFest is Poly’s own anime convention that is run by us. Admission is free since forever and takes place March 13 2010. Will discuss more at First General Meeting.
Otaku Foods -
As an anime society it is our job to feed our constituents, you, the members, quality otaku products. Always Genuine Japanese Pocky/Ramune and South Korean Aloe Vera Drinks. Of course it is not free since we need funds to run events such as SpringFest, Tea Lounge, etc. Price are reasonable and hasn’t changed much the last two year I was in Poly. I will usually restock once everything is almost out. Will discuss more at First General Meeting.
PAS Office Location -
We also have an office downstairs in the Student Cultural Center. (Go to basement via main stairs, then make a right, double doors to left, then room 010) We usually store most of the otaku food down their. We do have a small fridge to store all the nice cool Ramune. If there is space and while you are down their, you can put your own food to cool down, but space is limited, and nothing funky. =\ Maybe your soda bottle.
Also, Office will be closed till further notice. We have moved to a bigger room and need to transfer mini manga library etc. I will send another email out when it is open. Got NSBE’s room.
Apparel -
We had T-shirts the last year, but that had the old PAS logo (“Silhouettes”) and we ran out. We are working on a new design that will incorporate the new PAS logo. (“Endless Eight”) Usually a Freebie from us to you. Will discuss more at First General Meeting.
Other Means of contactingng PAS -
You can usually find us either in the Lounge or in the Office in 010. This is the fastest way to talk to us.
Or you can email me at fruitcage(at)gmail(dot)com. My personal email and usually check it hourly.
Don’t reply to this email.
Fall 2009 Anime Premier Chart -
Attached IMG you will find all anime series and OVAs that will premier starting next month. You can also bookmark http://chartfag.wordpress.com/ for future reference. Charts are released every season and is updated periodically with new anime once they are announced.

Long, long ago, the gods created the earth and sky. Then, they created anime and video games, which were even better. The gods then proceeded to play Smash Brothers for eternity. Ahem…

SpringFest is back, baby! With all-new events, all-new anime, and all-new games for you. We’ve got dubbing, acting, music, tournaments, pocky, ramune, tea, and everything that is good in the world.

It’ll be held at lovely Polytechnic University at the Northern end of Brooklyn on Saturday, March 14th, which happens to be the start of Spring Break there.

Explore the site! Each of the links above are a treasure of information about this event. You can chat with the event staff with the pink box below – they’re open to questions, suggestions, and jokes.

We hope to see you on March 14th, because if we don’t we won’t have anyone to give our fabulous prizes to.
